When we place an animal for adoption, our goal is to find a home that perfectly matches their needs and personality. Therefore, we require all prospective adopters to complete and submit an adoption application. In the event of multiple applications for a single animal, we consider each one carefully before making our decision. While your application may be approved, another applicant may ultimately be chosen based on the best fit for the animal. We love hearing updates about our animals in their new homes, so you can expect to hear from us!

Interested in meeting an LAR dog?

Most dogs at La Crescent Animal Rescue are placed in foster care upon arrival, as we prefer the more stable, home-like environment that fosters provide. If a dog is housed at the shelter, they have a private kennel equipped with a bed, blankets, and toys, along with dedicated volunteers visiting four times a day for playtime and walks.
